Location and Gate Policy

Location and Directions:

The event is held at Maddox Ranch, located at:
2405 W Bella Vista St
Lakeland, FL 33810

From either direction, you exit I-4 at Kathleen Rd (exit #31) and go South (a right if coming from Tampa, left if from Orlando). Then turn right at the first light at Fairbanks St (next to Penske truck rental). Go over railroad tracks then very slowly around the curve (it’s now called W Bella Vista). Just over the freeway bridge, the event entrance is immediately on your right.

Use the entrance with the colorful barricades and lights. Do not enter into the residence’s driveway toward the house. Welcome Home.

Please note the following information:

In the attempt to streamline the process and make the most of our volunteers time, Gate and Greeters have combined and formed a new team called “The Welcome Home Crew”.

Have your invitation and State Driver’s License, State ID, or federally (i.e. Military ID) issued photo identification ready and in-hand when you arrive.

Please follow the parking attendant’s directions. They will navigate you to an appropriate parking space so that you may exit you vehicle and make your way to the welcome home tent.

Your vehicle will be quickly searched for stowaways and weapons. If either is found, the whole of your vehicle will be denied entry.

Leave all Will-Call invitations at the “Welcome Home Tent.” with the volunteers when you arrive. Make sure each invite has the name of the person receiving the invitation printed CLEARLY at the top of the page as well as in the “participant” field of the waiver. Do not leave your friends camping outside the event while they try to call the dead phone in your tent. It is extremely inconsiderate to presume that our volunteers will go searching the 900 people in the event for you or the invitation you left in your tent, as this will NOT happen.

If the gates are closed, do NOT cross the property line. This is Maddox Ranch property, not Burnt Oranges’ property, and will be considered trespassing. Unlawful entry into the event will result in the authorities being contacted and charges being pressed against the violators. You wouldn’t break into the Amphitheater would you? Don’t think this event is any different.

Finally: PLEASE DO NOT show up at the gate at 1:30 AM screaming at the volunteers that you’ve been arriving at 1:30 your whole life and they better call so and so. They won’t do it. If so and so had expected a late arrival situation they would and should have notified the gate liaison.

THIS IS A NO RE-ENTRY EVENT

Please come prepared with EVERYTHING you need for the entire weekend. This includes: food, water, any medications you need, a basic first aid kit and anything else you need to survive the weekend on the ranch.
